Snow Run

On Saturday Hannah and I went to the outlet mall in Tulalip. We had a very successful shopping trip and made purchases at Lucky Brand, Jockey and Marc Jacobs. There are not many lunch options at the outlets, so we headed home and stopped at the mall in Lynnwood. We picked PF Chang’s because neither of us had ever been there. I won’t get into all the details but we had the worst service. The manager did comp our appetizer, veggie dumplings that were great, and gave us a $15 gift card. But it was still not a good experience.

On Sunday I work up to this

2/3 inches of snow

2/3 inches of snow

Sorry the picture is so dark. It was a good bit of snow for here and the roads looked like a sheet of ice. I made the call to run my 15 miles from my house and not drive. The only option from my house is hilly. It was the hardest run I have had in a long time. The snow was heavy and slushy. But I got it done.

As a reward Larry and I went to Wild Fin for lunch. We have been here a few times and the food has always been great. They have a Bloody Mary bar with different mixes and lots of veggie options. The service was great.

I spent the rest day watching the Olympics, I love the slope style skiing but it looks scary.

Are you watching the Olympics?

  2. Small world, I was up at the same outlets on Sunday. I hit up Banana Republic for new work pants and treated myself to a new long-sleeve shirt at the Nike store.

That’s funny. Are you running with ESR on Saturday in Bellevue?

      • Sadly, no. I’m running the Lake Sammamish half in a few weeks and really need to hit my last couple high mileage runs on my own. But, I think I might try to make the Redmond (Trilogy) run on Mar 1. I should be tapering at that point and the 6.5 miles will be perfect in my schedule. Maybe I’ll see you there?
I had a lot of fun on Saturday. I think I was the slowest runner there; I tried to keep up for the first mile or two and then fell back and ran the next 8 or so on my own (I got lost and ran an extra 1+ mile too). But I made it to breakfast afterwards and everyone was so friendly! I definitely don’t want that to be my last time.
