FInally Done

This post is about cancer, fair warning. Last August I was diagnosed with stage 1B Breast Cancer. It was one of the worst days in my life. I had just moved to Seattle and had NO friends or family here, only my husband, daughter Emily and my pup, Jameson.

Infusion

Infusion

We all know someone who has been touched by cancer. My mother died 14 years ago. My father in law, Jack died 2 years ago, Charlie, my sister in law’s dad died last year. Cancer sucks! My cancer was found very early on a routine mammogram. Please get your mammograms on time! I also found an amazing set of doctors. After 2 surgeries, chemo, radiation, and the Herceptin infusion for the past year, today is the last one.

I am finally done!

Seattle today

Seattle sunny afternoon

It has not been an easy year, but I’m a stronger person for all that I went through.

You have great courage, Bethany, especially under the circumstances that was going on in your life at the time. A good role model for so many women who are going through the same thing as you. Continued good success from you!

This is great news! I am so happy for you! I hope you continue to see healing and success! You have been an inspiration to me, ever since you let me spotlight you and I learned more about you, and how awesome you are. Still can’t believe you had the courage and guts to go out and run that race after you were diagnosed, just shows how strong you are, you are an amazing woman!!!

  5. Cancer SUCKS…my dad only had 52 days after he was diagnosed

Cancer does suck!!! I am so glad that you are done and pray for only good things for you. I am sorry that I did not really know the full effect of what was going on to support you. If you ever need anything ever again (lets hope not), I am here. Congrats again! What a wonderful day.
